Masters Of Black In Fashion & Costume

Tijdens mijn stedentrip naar Antwerpen ben ik naar het Modemuseum geweest. Op dit moment is er een tentoonstelling over zwarte kledingstukken. Het illustreert de verschillende historische fases van de kleur zwart met voorbeelden uit de schilderkunsten, het historisch kostuum en de hedendaagse mode.

Het modemuseum heeft een aantal Belgische en internationale hedendaagse ontwerpen, die een specifieke band met de kleur zwart hebben geselecteerd. Deze ontwerpers hebben een band met de kleur zwart in hun ontwerpproces of in hun hedendaagse interpretatie van de historische bijgedachte van de kleur zwart.

Hieronder een aantal van mijn favoriete kledingstukken die er te zien waren.


During my citytrip to Antwerpen I visit the Fashionmuseum there. Currently there is an exhibition about black clothing. It illustrate the different historical phases of the colour black with examples from the painting arts, the historical costume and the contemporary fashion.

The Fashionmuseum selected a few Belgium and international contemporary designers who have a special connection with the colour black in there designer process or in there contemporary interpretation of the historical implication of the colour black.
