In the book 'The secret history of Chanel No.5' tells writer Tilar Mazzeo the unknown details from the history of this legandary perfume.
A fragrance as iconic as Chanel No. 5 deserves its own reference, so we think. Even if the reference is less pleasant sides of the story discussed. Did you know that the perfume was made in Hoboken, New Jersey for several years? Not exactly the place that you associate with pleasant scents, but the Second World War meant that the production Coco forced from Grasse, France must removal. She was itself devastated, but it seemed to her the safest Chanel No. 5 to produce at a place where no bombs fell.
