The best experience during this edition of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week was sitting frontrow at the SIS by Spijkers & Spijkers show. Shirley from Styleguide asked me if I want to join her frontrow, of course I want to. We had an amazing time sitting frontrow at the beginning of the catwalk.
Spijkers & Spijkers already were one of my favorite designers. Just because it is really my style and the shapes they create are amazing.
At the AIFW they showed their autumn/winter 2011/2012 collection. The collection carries the name ‘Fasy Ladies’ and it is the second SIS collection by Spijkers & Spijkers.
The collection is inspired on the first women who took risks to get to the top of the racing sport and to reach aviation. Through flying and racing they got recognition in the mensworld.
Like I said before this collection is really my style. I love the silhouttes. The overall, heels with the number on the side, striped thights, black sweater, pants and blazer are my favorite. I must admit that is almost the complete collection.
In the end of the show the designers Truus and Riet Spijkers took the plaudits. And again I love the overalls that they were wearing. Amazing shape and beautiful use of different colors in one piece.
