In Arnhem there is a fashion month, called Arnhem Mode Biënnale. I am going to a lot of exhibitions, pop-up shops, workshops and a lot of other fashion related things, so there will be a lot of updates about the Mode Biënnale. I hope you like it.
Last Wednesday I was at the opening of a temporary store in Arnhem called ['werk, sh äp]. The name of the store means workshop. The name is reflected in the concept of making and creating fashion. All items in this shop are made by students of the Master Fashion of the fashion institute ArtEZ.
In this shop it is all about uniting people together and let the visitor experience all details of fashion. The items are made by different students with different backgrounds, like Russian, German, Finnish and Dutch. If you take a good look at the designs you see that they are all handmade. Besides the collections there was also a inspiration table of each fashion student. It was lovely to watch were they get their inspiration from.
I really want to thank ['werk, sh äp] inviting me to the opening and give me a tour around the store, so that I got to know the background from the students a little bit more.
You can visit ['werk, sh äp] during the Arnhem Mode Biënnale at Kortestraat 27 in Arnhem.
