Funny Bracelets

I like playing with fun items in my outfit. Like a scarf, necklaces, ring or bracelet. When I saw these bracelets, they made me smile. I really love the idea behind it and I think it is very cool that they made bracelets from part of a camera. For these unique items you can look at Photojojo and also take a look atother items that they sell, because it is a great webshop if you love cameras.

Shoes Love

So far, spring 2012 has been a season full of heels and wedges. And though things were no different at Gucci and Prada. Gucci decorated stilettos with mirrors and gold piping ruled. There was one gold chain sandal. It is a glamorous thing that resembles jewelry and look toward the summer.

Another shoe that I really love is from Prada. I think Miuccia was thinking about the American 1950s while making this shoe. This flame-fying rides are amazing and I think it will be a very nice piece to add to your shoe collection.

Filippa K Coats

Since this week the fall has officially begun and for me it is time to find the perfect winter coat. While I was searching I jumped in to the outerwear of Filippa K. This season they are focusing on well-dressed and tailored looks. They have different kinds of coats, like the classic Penny, that is a perfect oversized and masculine jacket. If you are looking for something elegant and different than Sandrine could be an option. It is a full length camel coat that truly captures the spirit and fashion of the season. I think it is really cool that they give names to their coats. To see more of the new jackets watch the video below.

Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2012

Today I want to share one of my favorite collections during the Milan Fashion Week, I am talking about the collection of Jil Sander. I think Raf Simons did an amazing job and left me breathless after watching the looks. It was minimalist indeed, with the white cotton shirt as the centerpiece and starting point of the collection. In my eyes the collection is very simple and pure, just like my style.

The silhouette was lean with skirts and sleeveless tops. The show opened and closed with white dresses, the first strict and elegant and the last romantic and clean. In between there were suits and skirts, jackets and tops in paisley-print. Sometimes there was a transparant layer used.

I think the collection had a Fifties vibe and cinematic feel.

The Net Effect

Being inspired is one of the best things in life. Today I want to share this with you, a collaboration between Bonsoir Paris (Installation and Art direction) and Ben Sandler (photography) called Analogic. It was created under the theme ‘Net Effect’ for Amusement Magazine.

What do they want to tell about this concept? “This project relates to the concept of the digital identity, as a philosophical dialogue between the human form and the immaterial representation of our digital selves. Metallic installations serve as metaphors of representations in the digital realm: enveloping and changing our identities, emanating as an material aura.”

Doutzen For Muse Magazine

There is one Dutch model that I really love, not only for her look but also the things that she do for charities. I am talking about Doutzen Kroes.

For the Italian Muse Magazine she did a photoshoot. When I saw the photo of her wearing the sunnies, I was impressed and wanted to see more photos.

The photos are made by Lachlan Bailey.

NYFW: J. Mendel

J. Mendel’s spring 2012 collection alternated between patchwork style prints and sleek silhouettes. It really gives an accent to the female figure. J. Mendel is taking on this season’s trend of sheer, lightweight dresses. He used vertical stripes paired with color blocking to give it a sexy look. The models donned wavy side-swept locks and had a sun-kissed skin.

EEF Bags

It is a while ago since I bought a new bag. I think it is quite the achievement for me. I have seen so many bags the last time, but I want to invest in a timeless piece. Because of that I was searching on the internet and today I want you to meet a brand that I came across; EEF bags.

EEF is a brand bags for both men and women who appreciate the orginality and harmony in bags. Charlotte Evers is the person behind EEF and in the past she was a jewelry designer and goldsmith. But after 18 years she fell in love with the materials and potential of bags.

The thing that I really like is that the bags of EEF are characterized by conscious choice for good materials. It really stands out and I like the fact that a lot of bags are available for both men and women. Only the color and material is something that is different for men or women. But the shape is the same for both of them.

Take a look at the site of EEF and tell me what you think of her collection.
