Maureen De Clerq

For the spring/summer collection from Maureen De Clerq she played with the notion of dualism. She repesented two different women, both escaping their life. Meeting somewhere in-between. The dualism between good and evil. Hard and soft colors. The dualism between front and back. I love the detailed cut out on the back. I also love the influence of the psyche, the body and society. The fluid fabrics gives an effortless silhouette. A lizard was her first painted in watercolour. She gives every season a name because she think it is a new chapter of a bigger story. This chapter is called The well lived life.
